Any Faifax local office interviews recently

Guys,

My ordeal is finally over. My spouse's GC arrived in mail yesterday. Please see my signature below.

Good Luck to you all...

Guys:

We just received the interview letter for my wife. Interview if for next week. Surprising thing is that I (being the primary applicant) have not received the letter! I am thinking of going with her just in case they sent out a letter for me as well and we did not get my letter. We moved few months back but still received the letter on the old address. I've tried updating the address many times (both by phone and AR-11) but seems that never reached the local office.

What do you guys think, does it make sense for me to go as well? Is it possible she gets a decision coming week, even though I know I am the primary applicant and my processing date is quite far? If not, why would they call her for an interview?

I would also like to know what she should be taking to the interview.

Your thoughts and/or suggestions shall be appreciated.

Hi Folks,

I had an interview today at Fairfax Local office for my I-485. My case is EB2 with priority date of Nov 2003. The officer was very kind and asked all straight forward questions. She asked for my employment letter, recent pay stubs, last year's tax return and W-2 and took a copy of it. She asked my place of Birth, name of Parents, when I entered last into US and verified the information that was on the file was correct. Also there were other standard questions such as you were never convicted/arrested, never involved in a genocide etc. She said my biometrics have expired and I need to give my biometrics again and they would make an appointment and send a letter. Once the biometrics is available and visa numbers are available, my case would be approved.

I hope the wait would not be too long this time, let us see.

Good Luck to you all.

Name check not required for I-485 approval if pending >180 days

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, the decisive victory for all sufferers stuck in name check! The USCIS issued a memorandum to change its policy regarding name checks. The completion of FBI name check is no longer required before application for adjustment of status can be adjudicated!!! If FBI name check is not completed in 180 days, I-485 can be approved without it.
