Any experience with Change of Address/State?

I am currently residing in NY and am looking to move to NJ where my spouse is living. I have lived in NY for 2 years and am going to be soon eligible to apply for citizenship. What happens if I file for my citizenship while living in NY and then move to NJ? Will this cause any delay in processing my application? Does the VSC automatically send my file to the correct district office (where I moved to) or first send it to the office of my old address who will then have to forward my file?

Would I be better off first getting a job and moving to NJ, and then filing my application?
