Any experience on Passport stamped in New York city?

I will go to the 26 Federal Plaza to have my passport stamped tomorrow. I have not got the notice letter, but the INS in Vermont will send me a Fedex. Hopefully I will get it by 10:30am tomorrow. I have to have the stamped done tomorrow because I will fly abroad on this Saturday. Any helps on how to get it done will be really appreciated. God bless me!

If you have an appointment letter it is very quick. Try and reach there at 7.30 am (that is when they open). There is another entrance for the people who have the letter. Go to which ever room is specified in your letter and hopefully there won\'t be much line.
Take valid passport, Letter of 485 approval, I 94 form(arrival/departure record) and 2 photos(INS configured).
Took at most 1 hour and I did reach there at around 8 so I was about 15th in the line.

Did you get your letter? Is this a new service to send approval notices by Fedex? Did you ask an IIO whether you can get a stamp without the approval notice?
 
I got my passport stamped half an hour ago and NYC

I got the approval letter by Fedex at 10:30 this morning and then I took the subway to the City Hall. I went through the other entrance only for people with appointment notice. No line at all. But there is a long long line in front of the main entrance. I went to room i-102 directly and waited for about half of hour and the process took about 5 minutes. I am so relieved because I am flying back to China tomorrow morning.

As a matter of fact I did not know and did not expect that our cases would be approved so fast. I bought a ticket last friday and then got the approval this Tuesday. And my lawyer does not want me to leave at this time. So without choice I called INS and to my surprise a very very nice guy said he could send me the notice by Fedex overnight after I explained to him my situation. So that is the whole story.
