Any EB3 Approvals????

Cogratulations jhawilla!!! At least now they are trying not to leave old cases on the back burner for years with name-check excuse.

Finaly, after eight years we got e-mails that our green card was approved!(EB 3,VSC)
PD April 1998
I140 and 485 filed October 2002
I 140 approved Dec.2003
GC approved 06-01-06
In beetween few fingerprints,EADs,Inquiries...
Done...

This approval was for my friend Vuki, transferred VSV>NYC>VSC (OCT04>16NOV05). THEY ARE TOUCHING OURS CASES.

I believe they are trying to go sequentially with older RD's first.

Whatever you said seems very logical explanation to what I have been observing for the past couple of months for cases similar to mine - but on the other hand I have seen many other (a whole lot) EB3 LS cases with PDs either before Jan 2000 or after Dec 2000 and RDs after Aug 2005 getting approved in the past couple of months - how come these cases are getting approved way ahead of us even though they filed almost 6 months later then us.

Also what about EB2 LS cases - anyone with PD before Jan 2003 is getting approved within couple of months of filing I-485 - seen tons of such cases getting approved in the past couple of months (excluding the ones stuck in name-check)

Please explain if possible?

Yes I noticed it. Even with EB-2 the cases which were filed(became eligible to file) in Sept 2005 onwards were/ are being processed rather than Eb2 from April -Aug 2005.


Most of the cases got jam-packed with RD's end of 2004 as there were massive fillings due to imminent retrogression for EB3. Then came the flood of pre-approved Eb-2 and Eb-3 in the mid of 2005 when they said they were going to retrogress it to 98-99.

When the above mentioned cases of Aug 2005 were filed(as their PDs became current ), these fillings didn't take place in bulks. These were having creeping effect, if I may put it that way. So when say sept-oct 2005 cases were sent for name-check in Nov 2005 and/or Nov-Dec 2005 cases were sent for name check in Jan 2006 there were not many for name-check as these were not filed in bulks due to imminent retrogression, rather these were filed due to coming out of retrogression(the ones who came out of retrogression this time but who had filed I-485's before the retrogressions were in bigger bulks and got stuck). Hence there were not many I-485s filed during/around the last quarter of last year.

I think this is how they crept out of it faster than others.

So what you are saying is that if I would have filed my EB3 LS I-485 sometime after Aug 2005 instead of March 2005 (with the same PD of Sep 2000) than I would have already gotten approved by now?

Also now since that never happenned for most of us and that now we all are stuck - when do you think they would start approving these cases - I mean a very rough guess as to how many more months (min-max) we might have to wait?

Yes that's what I mean.

As far as how soon they will come out I can't definitely say(that will depend on man-power and the number of cases in each month lot). But the only one positive thing I observed is COMPARATIVELY very less people are going to get stuck in name-checks due to the pattern I have observed. I can't put in words the explanation of it.

They took out the date period completly from my status message, there is no LUD but the message changed like this

Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on January 20, 2005. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

Message changed as u described for self spouse and son.

I hope due to EB1 retrogression in Oct there should be a massive filing of EB1 cases. Mine was received on 28/29 Sept and ND is 14/15 Oct.

Anyone's online message changed without LUD on i-485. today I observed difference in on-line message, it is removed words 365 to 540 days. anyone observed ?

I also observed the same - no LUD but the number of days were removed from the message. What could be the reason for this?

yes VSC has removed the 365 days thing...now they are saying whenever it is approved..kind of open ended now....guess a lot of people are calling them as their AOS is beyond 365 days or so ..so they decided to change the message...I am not serious..just kidding..

if anyone has more information on this please post it.
