Any EB1OR Applicants from 2005?

I am curious to find out how many out there are in the same boat as me. I filed for I-140/485 under EB1OR (company sponsored) back in 2005 (9/30/05) at TSC. My I-140 got approved within a month, but the I-485 is still pending.

I asked the company lawyers several times to make inquiries at TSC regarding the status of my I-485. Every time the lawyers came back with the same reply from TSC, "Application is pending security clearance." I assume I'm stuck in the NC black hole. However, I would like to know if I'm the only one in this boat or are there others out there in the EB1OR category who have filed back in 2005, and are still waiting for their I-485 approval?

Thanks,

Sorry dude! From what I remember, not many from 2005... Most of the folks have been from late 2006. Hopefully somebody would drop in... Yes, you have been waiting too long. Start bugging them. Start with Ombudsman's office, if you have already gone through infopass and such. Good luck!

I have not seen many from 2005, on trackitt it appears only three, in fact one sergy71 shares your RD at TSC......might be you. You might get some info from them? Ignore if you have already tried that.
Good luck

Thanks rama. I have not registered on trackit so far, but I think I'll get in touch with the person who has the same RD as me.

I've recently (last week) made a SR using the USCIS 1-800 number and the lady on the phone said that she will send my request to USCIS, who will send a written reply within 45 days. So should I go ahead and setup an Infopass appt, or wait until I get a reply?

Having a SR will not bar you form going through infopass. Usually SR will not provide enough information. In infopass you will have time to ask more then one question, like if they say security checks pending, then you can ask when did USCIS actually requested for a security check, these might be good info, specially when you happen to write to your congressman etc.
I would lean towards info pass rather then SR.
good luck

Thanks for your suggestion rama. I have setup an Infopass appt. on 12/07. Let's see what they have to say.

Good luck, just take your time in asking questions. It is IOs job to answer questions and your job to ask questions, so dont feel that you are more questions. Make a list of them and ask. Good luck again.

Streamflow, did you try to inquire what's holding up your I-485? What types of inquiries have you made so far? What was your Infopass appointment (if you had one) like?

EB1OR2005:
I wrote several letters to Congressman, Senator, the First Lady. As a result, I was informed that the FBI name check request for me and my family members was received from the USCIS on 07/23/2005, and it is currently in process for me. However, name checks for my wife and son were cleared in the same day and results were forwarded to USCIS. I did also several USCIS Service requests. My employer (Lab director) requested (i) USCIS expedited processing of the adjustment of status application (I-485) and (ii) FBI expedited processing of name check for me. Didn't help. I believe that I stuck in NC because I travel a lot. I visited different labs in US and Europe before I applied for 'green card'.
