After months and months of wait, for name check/system checks etc, I faxed over a request to assist to my local congressperson. Just wanted to know if there could be a downside of doing that. My attorney says that once I contact the congressperson they will be out of the loop of making any inquiries on my case. But apparently what else they can do at this stage...
