Hi,
My LUD is 06/07, I finished my FP1 on 04/15/2003 , Haven't recieved FP2 yet.
While my wife, RD 04/11/03 had her FP1 on 05/07/03 has been scheduled for FP2 on 10/06/04.
What's happening, Have I missed the boat?

ND:01/19/03
FP1:04/15/03
FP2:???
AD:????

Went to Local BCIS office

I went to the local BCIS office at San Jose and informed my FP1 is expired and haven't recieved FP2. They told me I should atleast have an appointment letter(even a later date is OK) to do FP2, Otherwise its not possible to do FP2.
I called 1-800 number, They were not very helpful either.

Just got FP2 notice

RD 12/19/2002, ND 01/23/2003, FP1 ~03/2003, LUD 06/14/2004.
I just got my FP2 notice a couple days back. So yours may be on the way.

Guys, MY RD is Jan 2003. FP1 for me and my wife is March 2003.
Got RFE for Employment verification on July 22nd 2004 and replied RFE on Aug 27nd 2004. After we replied our RFE, I got FP2 for my wife and i did not get any. I called the 800 number and i told them that my FP1 has expired and i have not received the FP2 notice for me. They told me that each case is different.

Just recieved FP2

I just checked my mailbox. I recieved FP2 notice for 10/11/2004.
What a relief!!!

But, Getting FP2 doesn't mean anything, I suppose. I have seen people waiting for 4+ months after FP2.
But, Lets hope for the best.

Getting FP2 means a lot. There are always exceptions in delay with some reason (FBI check, other name check... etc). In majority cases you can expect approval some time may be a month may be 4 months. If there is no FP2, no hope what so ever. (even though we have seen one or two approvals w/ expired FP... believed to be a IIO's mistake)

Get the FP2 done, give it some time and you will see your approval.

What could be a posible trigger for VSC to send FP2. Seems like "luck" playing a major role here.

RD=12/13/02 LUD=6/14/04 FP1=Expired FP2=Waiting

Chakal2000: Based on your explanation, only unlcky people whose name check is not complete will get FP2. So, from where this 15 months theory is floating around?

I am confused.

When I found out from my lawyer that he recieved my wife's FP2 and we have not recieved it inspite of filing AR-11, One of my friend's suggested me to call USCIS and change it.
After calling USCIS, within 3 days I recieved my FP2.

Maybe, Its a coincidence.

Not quite correct. FBI name check is performed even before the FP1 is given for couple of people within a month of I-485 ND (There were postings from who inquired about name check). FBI name check will not be done again after FP2, if its already done. ITS ONE TIME THING done after FBI gets a request from CIS.

Its the FPs that expire because neither FBI or USCIS store the results. Remeber FP check (whatever FBI does with them) is entirely different task from FBI name check.

Hope that helps.

In case FBI Name check etc are completed, There is no requirement for FP2.
