Any conflicts between I-485 EAD and H1-B1 Visa?

Recently I filed my I-485 package which included I-765 for both my wife and me. Currently I am on H1-B1 and my wife is on H4 both of which expires in December 2006. We have work restrictions and would like the opportunity to take part time jobs, hence the reason for EAD application.

Now my question is this: If the 485 based EAD is approved (which is very likely) but somehow towards the end of this year the I-485 is denied, will that automatically mean the end of my H1-B1, i.e. do I cut short my H1-B1 status for accepting the 485 based EAD?

Accepting the EAD will not cancel your H-1B, but taking a second job certainly will.
