Any cases of April-2001 or before pending???

Hello,

I applied for my 485 in April 2001. I wanted to know if there are any other people in the same boat or i am the unfortunate one.

Here are my case details:

RD: 04/13/2001
ND: 04/27/2001
RFE: 06/13/2002
RFE Reply Received: 06/27/2002

AD: ???????

waiting & waiting &&& more waiting,
the unfortunate one!
 
atleast u got a RFE so they saw your case or your case was with an officer.

i'm waiting from may2001 and my file is not with an officer even.

Have you tried contacting IIO

Have you guys talked to the IIO? What did they say?

What about contacting your lacal congressmen/senator?

what did your senator's office say? they must have given you a valid answer why your RD is past what INS is supposed to be officially processing. also, contact your attorney and explain in no uncertain terms that you'll pull the application from under him if he doesn't follow up.

I paid in installments of $750 for each process and i believe that is the norm. hence if you pull the application now, then the lawyer misses out on the remaining $750 which you can pay another lawyer who'll follow up on your behalf. as far as i see it, any lawyer would love to make a quick $750 if all the paperwork is already done (as in your case) and all he has to do is call the INS and inquire on your behalf.
 
I have contacted the senator

The senator's office told me it will take them 30-60 days to get a response from INS. Its been almost 4 weeks since then. So am waiting patiently!
