Any body got the Plastic Card?

There have been a lot of approvals these days. Did anybody recieve the actual card after being approved? How long is it currently taking to get the card after the passports have been stamped.

Also are the cards sent to the applicant or the lawyer?

Yes it did. It says

On February 17, 2004, the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this card, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

I received the card on 17th itself. It was actually mailed on the 14th.

My online status just changed to "2/18/04 card ordered" and I am crossing my fingers to get the card in next few days.

I did the stamping on 2/9/04.

(I received one of my EADs the same day when the status changed to "Card mailed", just as you did with your GC).

When I went to stamping on my passport I was given an option for mailing the card. The officer asked me if the card has to be sent to me or the attorney. I said attorney would be fine. And the officer also noted it on my approval notice that the card has to be mailed to the attorny's office. Now I am wondering if I am the only person in this situation. Did anybody else face a similar situation and get the card ?
 
Tivam that is very strange. We weren't even asked that option and I know for a matter of fact none of my friends were asked that question. Look to see if your status changes online and if it does contact your attorney. First it will change to card ordered and then again it wil change to card has been mailed.

king1999 within the next 2-3 days your status will once again change to say card has been mailed.
 
Of the three people in my family, one card was sent directly and the other two went to our attorney. We were not given any option as to where they went, and the online status read the same for each case. The ones that were sent to the attorney took a lot longer to reach there - about one week to reach their office as opposed to one day for the card sent directly.

Hi, Mad Par ( one of our forum members) posted his opinion that I could give my attorney's address, since I plan on moving 4 months from now. He said the INS officer had given him that option. I think this is a great idea as you are guaranteed some stability if you move.
 
no card yet

we got it stamped at dallas INS on 02/02/04. None of us recived the cards yet. Still on line staus 485 approved only.
 
update

Just an update to my earlier posting. My wife's status changed yesterday to card has been ordered on Feb 18, 2004. I already received mine on 17th. Stamping done on Feb 6th at Dallas. Will post after her status changes to card mailed and when we receive her card.
 
ramanathansunda... U R right. It gives me stability to move. But hope INS sends the card to my Attorney. As there is a strong possibility that I might move.

We did stamping on 02/05/2004. Online message not changed for mine. But my wife Online message changed as follows

"On February 18, 2004, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

My wife's status changed to card mailed today 23rd.
PP stamped Feb 6th at Dallas.
I received my card on 17th. So looks like Dallas is sending the actual cards within 10 days - 2 weeks from stamping date.

Since the PP stamping

We did stamping on Feb 5 in Atlanta

1 Website message is still same
2 We have not recieved intimation about any moment

Is the plastic card mailed from the local office where you did PP stamping?
Any one did PP stamping in Charlotte, NC received card recently?

AD: 2/11/2004
PP Stamped: 2/19/2004 at Charlotte office.
online messages still say ...approved on Feb. 11...

No Change in online message for me either. Its been 10 day since I got my passport stamped and still waiting.
