My case was transffered to INS NY on 10/17/01, i am looking for the
information on interview. How long will it take before they schedule the interview

345-548 Days from the date of Filing . SEE National Processing I-485

one of the guys on the internet told me. He was issued ref
 in 3 months from Garden City NY office. His case was transferred
to NY on July 25th and REF issued on end of OCT.

Me too, An I-485 Interview in NY

On OCT 28, 2001, my case was tranferred from VSC to their NY office to schedule and conduct an interview. I was told it will take a couple of months and that I have to wait for a letter from them outlining the documents they need.

The msg on 1-802-527-4913 includes the phone number for NY contact. It is (212) 206-6500.

I do not think they will send notice with required documents, what
they do is they will send you a notice saying your file has transferred to NY. the 202 number is not working.

I received the notice saying my file was transferred to NY. I was told I will be contacted to specify the details about the interview.

By the way, I applied for Unemployment Claim insurance? is this a problem as some say? If it is I can cancel it immediately.

I just want to make sure I am not breaking any rules by filingthis claim.
