Question about I-485
My details are :
PD: 05/98
I-140 filed in EB2 with ID 01/99
On 24th May\' 99 SC sent a letter to support EB2 basis as I don\'t have Master\'s but has 6 years experience.
My attorney sent supporting documents to SC immediately. Then he convinced me that it would be wise to go with EB3 than to fight with SC for EB2. I am not sure at that time and opted to go with him.
I-140 redo with EB3 and approved with ND 08/99
I-485 ID : 08/99 ND: 09/99
1st AD, 2nd AD.
FP done on 08/2000. My company changed its name. No RFE so far.
Is it worth waiting or should I go back to process again with EB2. Any suggestions? How to enquire about FP status with FBI ? I mean could any one provide me the number to call. thanks in advance.

I spoke to an IIO yesterday. She informed me that they are holding the company name change 485s till they get some instructions from the HQ. My questions is why do they want to hold? From the same company I have seen people with later RD/ND getting approved after receiving an RFE for the company name change. Why can\'t they follow the same procedure for everyone till they get that f***ing instruction? Can\'t wait for this messed up process to end.

Well, I don\'t think anybody can guess why they are "hold"ing I-485s related to company name change, if they really are doing it. But it looked like that is over seeing a few of those approvals last week. If at all, I think it is just a few officers doing whatever they feel like depending on unfounded rumours within the INS itself....
