Any approvals lately?

Not sure what VSC is doing these days. I have not see any approvals lately in the last 2-3 weeks or so. There is just an odd case of approval and that too for EB2. I dont even think they are looking at Eb3 cases even the ones that have their PD current.

Anyone hear anything from lawyers.

Also can AILA do anything to help us poor souls. I hear that they have as much clout as a call from a Congreesman's office or a Senator's office.

Has anyone used AILA?

CSC approvals ... but no VSC approvals

I just spoke to my lawyer and she says she has seen a bunch of appovals at CSC...CSC seems to be doing a much better job while VSC is acting lousy..

I won't be surprised if the "Name-Check pending" is just an excuse of VSC to cover up their lousy work.

I still can't believe it... My wife filed I485, AP and EAD in January (3rd or 5th or whatever the first working day was). We recieved approvals for AP and EAD in March and two days ago she recieved email stating that I485 is approved. I had to wait 2.5 years and she got hers in 4 months!!!!... I gave up trying to figure out how these guys work...

Could very well be..

that VSC is just understaffed and the name check thing is just a cover up for not approving applications faster.

As far as the regular name check is concerned it is done by a third party and would be the same for VSC or CSC. I think there is a huge bottleneck at VSC through which no approvals are flowing.
