Guys !

My EAD is expiring on May 8th 2003, and I didnt get the approval yet, could some one please tell me what should I do.

Do I need to tell my employer? Take vacation??

Dont Worry

I am sure you will get it before the expiry. Most likely they will issue the new one extending from the day it expires. But if you dont hear anything its better to talk to your employer and take a leave without pay for sometime. I too am waiting for mine RD 12 March and EAD Expiring 30 May.

When did u apply for renewal

I applied on 01-APR-03 and as per Online status my EAD has been approved on 26-APR-03, Though I have not received the Cards yet, Status says Application is approved and cards have been ordered.
 
i have applied on RD (11/18/2002) still have not recive mine yet , the reason is do to securrity check the INS is conducting in my name , if 90 passed from the ND , go to your local INS office and apply for temp one , my advice , don't mention any thing to your layer , just see if you can convert to H1

osama am really sorry about your case. My H1 exipired in Dec'02 so there is no way I can go back to H1.

Dec01 Congratulations! I applied around march 26th and my RD is 03/29/03 and ND is 04/02/03.

Hi,
my wife's and my ND were same(03/18) but the EAC had 1 day diff ( 126 and 125 resp) due to check clearing.
My EAD was approved on 04/15 and card was mailed to me on 04/25. My wife's case was approved today(04/29).

so yours should be on the way.All the best
 
conclusion...

my details for ead renewal are rd 03/12
nd: 03/13

ead expiring june 19th.

i remain unapproved as of today.

the only reason for the inconsistency in approving eads is on a need basis. it appears that ins is trying to process eads expiring first..and not necessarily on rd-nd basis!!
 
my ead renewal nd was march 3rd. it got approved on april 11 and card was sent on april 14 which i received on april 28.

If your EAD is not approved by may'8th, then i think that you have to leave your company (on paper) and join it back after you get your EAD. Because without H1 or EAD, you are not authorised to work for any company, even for loss of pay. So vacation option may not be correct.
Anyway, ask your lawyer what to do. Don't worry. Your EAD should come very shortly. Wish you good luck.
