Update on Cases Transferred to Backlog Processing Center

hi guys this hopefully is helpful, a friends lawyer send him this mail

Dear Client:

In the past few weeks we have received a heavy volume of calls from our clients wanting to know the status of their case that has been transferred to the BPC. In talking to the BPC, we have found out the following:
BPCs will NOT respond to any "status enquiries;"
UPS was used to transfer all cases and all boxes have been accounted for and as such there is no concern with cases being LOST;
Center Receipt Notification Letters (or the "45-day letter") are being sent and they will complete that task in the next 60 days (NOTE: MY OFFICE HAS NOT RECEIVED ANY 45-DAY LETTERS AS YET);
Notification Letters are called as "45-day letters" as employers will have to respond within 45 days of the date of the letter if they wish to either withdraw or continue processing of the application;
Notification Letters will reference the ETA Case Number and will NOT provide a new case number;
Notification Letters will provide the Date of Acceptance for Processing (Priority Date);
Backlog reduction efforts are on a strict first-in and first-out policy based on the original filing date;
Notification Letters will NOT provide any time time frame for processing (THEY EXPECT PROCESSING OF ALL BACKLOG CASES TO BE COMPLETED IN THE NEXT 30 MONTHS);
We have received no indication whether regular Labor Certification cases and RIR cases will be combined or not; and
A Status Information System for the BPCs will be ready possibly by March 28, 2005.
FYI, The telephone number for the BPC at Philadelphia is 485-270-1500 and the email ID is status@dal.dflc.us

Given the above information, we request your patience and co-operation as we receive the 45-day letters that will serve as confirmation whether your case is at BPC or not and also for the Status Information System to be ready to check on individual case status. Thank you
