About the case number please be aware that all beneficiaries who are going to accompany the principal applicant are allocated a case number as well.
for example If your case number is xx100, then since you have your wife and 2 children as derivatives 3 numbers will be skipped and the next NL case number will be xx104.

Dear siamak

you mean your the case number in the 2nd NL was different from ur case number in the first NL?

In the first application you fill in via internet you mention the spouse and children names if applicable. Since if someone wins, he/she usually will apply for his/her family memebers too, KCC automatically considers the beneficiaries of selected principals and allocates a case number for them at the beginning before sending the first NL. It means your case number never change later on.

Hi Pegah
When an allocation cut-off number is shown in monthly bulletins of US. Department of State, It means visas are available only for applicants with the numbers BELOW the specified allocation cut-off number by end of that month. Each month the cut-off numbers of the current month and next month are announced for all the regions. So you can estimate your interview date in spite of the range of numbers announced in each month.

Thanks for your reply. I have read the thread you mentioned. You notify this statement that : ABOUT 90'000 PERSONS, BOTH PRINCIPAL APPLICANTS AND THEIR SPOUSE & CHILDREN WILL BE REGISTERED. You meant that if my case number is 1 and I would be married with 5 children; the next case number in Asia will be 7.

To the best of my knowledge, during the dv flows in past years, they announced cut off number of 7500 in their bulletins for Asia. But They issued almost below 2500 visas for iranian; wheras they scheduled interview till almost case number of 10000 among iranian.

So if it would be so, it doesn't change the situation ( specially me with this high number!!) ; unless the second number would be allocated to us. What do you think?
Any more suggestion?

The cut-off number of 7500 could not belong to the last bulletin. If KCC scheduled interview up to 10000 or more at the end, the bulletin you pointed would not be the last bulletin issued in August/September.
Also I emphasize that my case number didn’t change from beginning till issuance of visa.

thanks, ok, i try to be optimistic. but i became confused. I can apply for immigration to australia now and this situation will be probabely changed in near future. I wish i knew whether the time interview in DV will be allocated to me or not? & then i could decide better.

i saw in dv2008 results that 5xxx persons won in dv program from bangladesh,so please tell me why did u say that 10-12000 cases may be from there? i mean how did u conclude that?

in order to answering your question i should say,my post about the probable number of bangladeshian winner, was in 30th july 2007,before publishing the final results by NYC in september2007.and it was just a simple calculation by some information i had collected from USINFO.gov
and based on the first results, the total number of DV applicants in dv2008 were 6.4 million and 40% of them were from asia and also bangladesh has the greatest number of participent with somthing about 1.8 million request.so based on the highest asian case number in this forum (near 16000) it was simple to calculate the total number of banladeshian winner in 16000 asian and it was 10000 to 12000 winner.but the final result was somthing compleletly different and it was only 5200(as i remember) people from bangladesh.

it's good to see another iranian lucky winner here with a case number near mine.perhaps we have an interview in a same period of time.my CN is around 8000-8200 and i expect to have an interview in march 2008(optimistically) or with a higher possibility in Aprill.
actually i've choosen ankara for my interview but now i think it was better to choose abudhabi for some reasons.
it seems we have nothing to do except waiting.so wish you and other hamvatan! best.

do you live in Iran? for my interview, I didnt choose anywhere, and I just wrote that I live in Tehran, Iran, so yet I dont know where my interview is until my number becomes current. but I dont think embassies would be different, cause they do the same way whenever they are. why do you think Abudhabi is better?
