I still can't believe my eyes when I see that email... Thanks God, this step is done now.
I've read a few threads here about I140 RFEs and there is a rumor that congressional enquiries may cause RFEs sometimes. I was within a few days from writing my local congressman when the magic email has come...

I filed I 140/I 485 in 12,oct 2003.FP done in feb 2004.No change in LUD for 140 and 485.Lawyer and company put forth two enquiries.But no use.I was thinking of contacting congressman,but my company will not allow me to do that.Name check is still pending with FBI.I got exactly the same reply from FBI as rahul76b got,for the email i send in october.

Can you tell the exact date you sent the email to FBI and when did they reply? I sent an email on Nov 2.. still no reply
 
count me in...I140 RD:06/03. No FP request so far. It looks like the delay is at FBI level? How can you tell that?
 
Oct03- I-140 pending

My I-140 (EB-1) is still pending. USCIS sent a RFE on Dec 8th, 2004. I had change of address in June 04 and got a standard letter from USCIS that they have updated my address. But so far I have not got the RFE letter. I have called 1-800 number and getting standard letter from them but not the real RFE letter. I did not hire lawyer to file but contacted now. she said we can just wait to get the letter. Can someone help me, what are the options do I have. I am going o move soon to new address again.
 
Now, I am counting 10 people with 2003 I-140 that were not approved.

I just called my lawyer and now that the Congressman did not have any positive news for me, she will be contacting the AILA liaison... Let's see what this one will do...

Just got my I-140 approval!!

Hey all!!

Just received emails for my I-140 approval. They approved it on 2/8/05. LUD was 2/9/05. No changes in LUD for I-485.



My case details:
PD: Apr 2001 EB3
Concurrent I-140/I-485 filed on Oct 21st, 2003
1st EAD approved 12/16/2003, 2nd EAD approved 12/21/04 after RFE)
1st FP on 1/10/2004; 2nd FP on 9/9/2004 (had got a RFE for 2nd EAD for biometric and they took my FP again)
I-140 AD 2/9/05
LUD for I-485 on 10/01/2004 (FP received)

luna_ca,

Keep in mind that an I-140 does not require a fingerprint. Tell this to your congressman and ask him to contact USCIS again pointing out this fact.

This morning, I got to rent!
I saw on other thread people with 2004 application complaining that they were not getting their application approved soon enought... And I am thinking in my head 'you guys are lucky they actually are looking at your application'.

Now I understand how annoying we must have sound to the people who applied in 2002 and had to wait forever while USCIS was approving 2003 applications... Oh well, I had to rent.
