Any 2001 filer out there?

Feeling frustrated, I have been waiting for my i-485 since May 2001. Now, as I checked, my case is still pending waiting on FBI name check. What the hack is that?

Called senator several times, but they said they can do nothing to push FBI. Also fax'ed and called FBI tons of times with zero response.

Seeking help!!!

How did you find out that they are waiting for FBI name check?

looking at the login, i think he/she is from china.

rli, a friend of mine was name-checked when he went back to china for his CP interview in 2002. he stucked in china for almost 2 years. finally, he got that cleared and came back last month. so keeping ur hope up.
 
with my experience these are all bs. They just give some excuse not to work on these cases, never know it might get approved any time, my congressman office was telling me the same thing just 2 weeks before the approval, so just wait,it will be ok.
 
It could be true it is just BS or could be a hit in one of their several names listing (such as DPL - denied party listing used for export control). It would take a while for them to make sure that applicant name is not the same as the name in their database.

It is also true that if the application is stuck at FBI office, there is very little senators can do, since it directly relates national security.

Got One response from Texas stating that My date is 11/03 and they were processing 10/03 as of 5/15/2004 ( I am sure thats the date when they the web site posted as 11/18/2001)

Re opend the enquiry with 1800 No on 6/16 will see how the fun goes on 7/16 response ( will it be no response) GOD Knows.
 
Still waiting with RN 08/02/2001 and don't

know what i should do next. I called 800 number 5 times, faxed/mailed a
letter to TSC/congressman/senator, nothing happens. FP expired in
April, not 2nd FP notice, nothing happens after TSC ACKed to receive my reference materials in Feb.
 
You all 2001 fillers special rli (05/01) need very serious steps to be taken

send ur cases to everywhere where it can be listen untill they make any decision on ur cases.

why dont' u all 2001 fillers get together and present ur case/story to reasonable platform.

I am still waiting. After rfe from officer#69 responded and ackd by tsc on Feb'26 th 2004.

Sorry to hear you are still waiting from officer # 18. Hope it will be over soon.Some how mine got approved in june 2nd week from him , feel lucky.But you are not too far off , it will be over soon.

Have you received 2nd FP notice?

I called senator's office and while I was holding the lady in the office called TSC and requested 2nd FP notice. I do find my Last Update Date has changed after I called, hopefully I will get 2nd FP notice soon but God knows when.

me too!

both me and my wife's are pending. called ( mailed ) congressman and senators, was told still under "FBI name checking". And now, our FP are expiring.

What shall we do ?

Called FBI for FP status 07/12/04.. Found mine was sent to USCIS but my wife's got rejected.. Can anyone guess what's next.. ???

I'm tired of guessing.. always results are unexpected..

dont worry , something will be coming for you .
as you posted that after your FP your case went ot USCIS, may be yours will come first and then your's wife will follow
may be she has to go and give once again FP
