I don\'t know why i couldn\'t post on that thread.
The answer to your question is NO. I tried to get an EAD before 90 days at INS san jose office. they won\'t even give you a number. i waited in the line for 3 hours and i was not even able to see an officer. i explained my situation to the guy who gave out tokens. the SOB won\'t even listen .he just said " no one will risk his job to to break the rule to give you an EAD". my H-1 b expires soon and the extension was filed too late so i can\'t wait for 90 days for EAD. but seems that i have to stay at home for a few days. fortunately it will be just a few days. F*** them! but the good news to you is that 90 days is fron the RD instead of ND, which is what the SOB told me.

INS web site says
: If INS does not approve or deny your EAD application within 90 days (within 30 days for an asylum applicant), you may request an interim EAD document.
Is that from RD or ND? is there any regulation about it?If there is , then why not we use it for 180 days for I485?

i was told 90 days is from RD. what do you mean use 180 days for 485? change job? you need EAD to work no matter you change job or not if you are not on H-1B anymore.
