Just checked AVM and both mine and my wife cases were approved today. Really felt very happy and releived after this painful journey.

ND OCT 26th 2000
FP MARCH 18th 2001
I140 approved for CP but applied for AOS and send to Madras consulate India on July 26th 2000
Case assigned to officer FEB 13th 2002
Approved Date: MARCH 7th 2002
AVM UPDATED MARCH 7th 2002
LIN NO: LIN-01-019-5XXXX

Did you call IIO?

Hi,

Congratulations. When did you know your file was assigned to an officer? Can you please post details of your conversation with IIO? How many times did you call IIO?

I called IIO several times

Hello,

  When i called IIO on feb 13th IIO informed that,our files will be assigned to the officer the same day. According to my experience calling IIO will help to know the status of the case. I think it is a good idea to talk with IIO once in 3 weeks if your case is pending for long time. Hope this information helps.

I guess I am one of the frequent callers. I call IIO at least once per week these months. Check about avm 4 times a week.
