Dear All:

AVM said, case transferred to Newark on May 01
Got interview letter around July 6th for interview on July 23
Was asked to bring I-94, Passport.
Mine was a simple case; company who filed my GC merged with another during my 485 and thats probably why they called me for an interview. I changed jobs after 6 months on EAD also.
The officer was cool.. asked my current job letter, pay stubs and tax papers for last 2 years. I had it all and he was happy.
Stamped my Passport temporarily for one year and said i shd expect my GC in mail soon.
Imp thing to note is, he asked if my address is the same; i said no, it has changed and he just manually wrote the address on file where the GC will probably be mailed (and didnt talk shit about filling AR11 etc).
Btw, I had called the INS Helpdesk asking abt my case's status as it was more than 12 months. The lady said, she will send a request to the Newark INS office and they will send me a status on my application. And soon, I got this interview letter.
Good luck to all who are waiting. GC is a must in this economy.
A Free Advice: People, please do not panic. If your case is simple and no fraud, you WILL get it approved. Its just a matter of time. The officers are not racists etc.. they might be stupid. They do not grill etc unnecessarily and if your case is simple and straightforward (and if it is more than 12 months to your file), you can call INS helpdesk (1-800-375-5283) and ask them the status on your application.
All the best!
