My 485 case has approved after the interview Friday
2/15. Here is my detailed.
RD 2/01
ND 3/01
FP 5/01
2nd FP 9/01
xfer to San Jose 11/01
notice received 1/02 and scheduled for 2/02
The interview process was a pleasant one. The officer
is nice and well organized. We prepared all the possible
original copies filed with the 485 and went along with
our attorney. After the sword we were asked to finger print
and signed the paper work, then were asked the those standard
question in the 485 application form. At last I was asked about
the detailed information about my career, and the employment
letter, he kept the letter and asked for 2000 tax return and
kept the copy, and also asked for our children birth certificate
and keep the photo copy. It all took arround 45 minutes and
our passport were stamped. When my attorney asked why we got
interview, it is just for employment check and if we were CCCP
party member.
For people who are preparing interview, probably you want to
make a copy of all your original, just in case the officer wants
to keep a copy of it. The officer were asking for both our children
birth certificates, and we only have a photo copy of one of our
children, and he was just happy to accept the one we gave him, not
asking for the other one we didn\'t have a copy.
