My wife and I got our passports stamped at Santa Ana today.
We live in Riverside County and it does not exactly fall in the jurisdiction of the office. However that did not cause any problems.
Reached the INS office at about 10.30 and in the third floor there were about 25 people before us waiting to get a ticket number. It took us about 25 minutes to get to the counter and immediately got a ticket each and were asked to go to the fifth floor.
Within 5 minutes of reaching the fifth floor our number was called and the stamping took about 10 minutes total.
The officer was very nice, helpful and courteous. He took our I-94, EAD, AP and the Courtesy copy of Approval notice. He took our signature and fingerprint and stamped the passport. Said it would take 3 months to get the plastic card.
Once again, thanks to everyone that contributed to this forum and made the waiting period a pleasant one.
