another EAD/iEAD question

I scanned the EAD faq but i think i couldn't find this question. If its there already and i missed it, i apologize.

My wife's EAD is WAC-03-001 series and hasn't been approved yet. Her iEAD is expiring in August. So what should be the recommended procedure to follow ?
1. Does applying for EAD renewal right now makes any sense ?

2. As i understand, if by that time EAD is not yet approved, we should be able to get another iEAD. Is that right to assume ? If so, ( i read from some other post here that), it might be for 3 months. So in that case, when exactly should the renewal be filed - after getting the second iEAD or earlier ?

Ofcourse the best case is that we get the EAD approval by then - i read that even 03-030 ppl hav e got their EAD approvals...

thanks for your message. I was looking into that thread only...but as i understood everything is in referrence to EAD -like apply 4.5 months before EAD expires....does that holds true for iEAD stuff too...?

you can not file renewal of EAD which you never had, so you can get 2nd iEAD and see the validity of that. I don't think they will issue EAD for just 1 month. you will not be getting EAD backdated. So sure you will get sufficient time to apply for next EAD.
