Well I guess I've officially joined the ranks of the multitudes waiting for their AOS,AP,EAD,FP,ETC,ETC... it's such a different world compared to the nice and easy TN visa, but very cool since this leads to something a little more permanent!!!!

I already know that I'll be visiting this board probably much more than I should, my wife says I stress too much about this whole process, but just browsing around has already revealed a ton of valuable info. I will definitely be posting my progress updates. In fact as an FYI we just recently filed our applications and have a FP scheduled for May 30 (2003).

hopefully by the time your approval comes around things will be processing much quicker than for the rest of us currently

i too used to be on a tn (in fact 3 tn's)

now a tn, that is stressful, each time you renew at the border....based on the whim and interpretation of whoever you got....i went the h1b route

Whenever anyone gets an approval, we all try and beat Tasse in congratulating that person first.

Anyone have any trouble re-entering U.S. with AP (before getting EAD), like problems with paperwork or border agents?

Welcome on the board, and No haven't heard of any problems with AP in the US, though heard a few stories about airlines and immigration officers in other countries not understand what an AP stands for.

Couple more things you should know about the forum,
1. Do some research before posting questions, cause the flames here get pretty bad! :)

2. SillyMan suffers from split personality, in one he is this cool dude, just another adjustee, and in his second he is J. Lo, we usually try to humour him in both his personia's. After all you should be gentle to "special" people.

NO ONE BEATS TASSE in congratulating.....I REPEAT....
Someone beating TASSE is like INS processing 485's at faster phase..
 
I take oath of beating Tasse when I will (if) get my wife's approval. I will post congratulation first and then approval news.

LOL Vipsha, you will be the first one to congratulate your wife anyways, so it doesnt count in your wifes case.:D
