An amended notice!? What's that?

My case number:wac022665XXXX

I am the main applicant. Just a moment ago, I got two emails. One is for my 485, says "An amended notice on this case was mailed on September 14, 2004........", the other is for my dependant's 485, says "This case has been approved on September 14, 2004........".

Does anybody know what amended notice is?

Totally funny, what are they doing now?

I got another email today. "This case has been approved. On September 17, an approved notice was mailed..."

That means I will receive another mail even the "amended notice" is on the way! It seems that USCIS made a mistake and then corrected it.

Hope my experience only is exception.
