An A # Question

Folks,
Today we went to have finger prints done for me and my wife. At the INS office I noticed that the A# for my wife as mentioned on the FP notice is different than her I-485 Recipt notice. The INS officials present at the FP office said that the A# on FP notice letter is correct and that is the one they used to input in their database. Is this going to be a problem later? I am planning to call INS and ask them about this on Monday also but would very much appreciate your insight on this matter.

The number shown on your 485 receipt notice is your LIN number &
the fingerprinting goes with the A # or Alien Registration number
which is different. So dont worry.

We had a similar experience. The A# on my I-485 receipt notice and my EAD were different. The Officer at the FP office, contacted NSC and fixed the problem. The A# on my EAD is right.
Another way to figure out which one is correct is , yours and your wife\'s should be in sequence.
