I\'m an American, and I\'m living with my boyfriend in Canada. I\'ve been traveling back and forth for 2 years now, and have not applied for a visa of any kind to be here, due to the fact that from all i\'ve heard, it costs more than what I\'m able to afford.
I have 2 questions,,1) Am I breaking any laws by staying here without a visa? and 2) what is the best way to go about applying, considering my situation, and is it really as expensive as I\'ve heard it is? My boyfriend and I do plan to marry, but we weren\'t intending to get married for a couple of years. So, that rules out the fiance visa, correct?
Any help whatsoever will be so appreciated.
