Amended notice for approved EB1 I-140?

Hi,

My EB1-OR I-140 was approved by NSC in Feb 2007. I received an approval e-mail, status was updated on the web and my lawyer received the approval notice by mail.

However, couple of days back I got an e-mail from USCIS that they have mailed an amended notice for my case. Has anyone ever received such a mail after initial approval of the case? What could it mean? Any pointers or prior experience? I have not made any amendment applications to USCIS for my case to expect an amendment notice from them. Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

YOu check the priority dates, A#, receipt numbers, approval dates, receipt dates in both the approved and amended notice. Had they made any error in your approval notice they might have realized later (after they sent your original approval notice). so there is a possibility.

If there is no difference in both approval and amended notice then GOD ONLY KNOWS..... :)

Hi Madgu-gc2005,

Thanks for your response. I haven't seen the amended notice yet and I haven't heard from my lawyer either. I am waiting to see what the notice is about. Meanwhile. I wanted to see if anyone else had such prior experiences. I guess I will just have to wait to see what is in there..
