Two applicants who files 140/485 in June 07 got 485 approval email welcoming new resident, their i140 is still pending.
I am not sure if GC's will be revoked when USCIS realise error. or is it possible to get 485 before 140 ?
One person filed in June 07 got approval email on 08/31/07. less then 3 months between filing and approval.
Those three are very lucky people.
All 3 are eb3 - India

I think it might be an error, instead of printing Receipt notice they in accident printed out the the approval notice.

but you will never know anything can happen in USCIS.

And all of us were demonizing all government departments and system in our home countries.. Crows are black everywhere:eek:

Hey USCIS, - either approve the pending cases/ reject them- at least we can pack our bags and live better in home country.

Can we find more details and send it to Cisombudsman in DHS... seems he is action oriented..

hardly error

This could very well be true as USCIS doesn't make this kind of grave mistake. They are probably refering to the USCIS online to check their I-140 case, which could be seen as Pending, but it would already have been approved, and they donot have the hard copies in hand. Sometimes ONLINE doesnot get reflected this instant, and can be seen as pending. If they have indeed received the messages, I would certainly authenticate the message.

If the above is true.. then person who does data entry to USCIS also can approve cases.. no need of Officer then..

USELESS USCIS. how can they approve cases received on June 2007 when people are waiting form 2003 what ever may be the case still they should need to look at OLD cases..

yes as some one said earlier crow is black everywhere..

In this advanced and organised ( supposed to be ) country.. also no justice.

Saw this message on 1485. Does this mean the green card is approved?

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On September 4, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

My I140 is still pending, EAD and Travel doc not approved yet... I am confused.

What makes you think this is an error, on what ground you are saying this is an error? Why it cannot be possible?

It is one of the bill being proposed in house like many called the strive bill. These days I personally stop thinking of any bill that garner any attention in congress immigration wise.

Oh Oh.... its PD 05/02.... May be its a pre-approved labor.... It not supposed to happen... but it could be treated as a pre-approved labor and ....so he gets the GC- lucky for him.

Guys guys, why it has to be pre-approved labor? Cant you have your own labor with PD 05/02? It has nothing to do withe pre-approved labor. I have many reasons to believe that he/she indeed gets approved.
