Am I the only one waiting in anticipation?

I am really tense and confused in anticipation of the new rules and how that is going to impact my case.

Im wondering if Im the only one feeling like that or is any1 out there in the same boat as I am?

USCIS needs to give some indication abt what is going to happen!! Really, Im sick to my stomach. I know I need to defocus on this but I simply cant (since its such a major lifechanging situation)
 
I am with you buddy.. Cant wait to see whats going to happen.. And again, since I am on second attempt of my I-140, I am kind of worrried.. way too much..
 
me too guys, I am also willing to see how would they process our cases, but I have a feeling that we may not find that out too soon, rahter we may not even see any i-140 approvals for concurrently filed cases....


This highly unprofessional from USCIS's side to behave in such manner.

was wondering if we must start calling there phone number question them abt the process.....

With so many contradicting views reg the memo and its interpretation, its difficult to make any sense of the situation!!

I dont know if I was better off with the earlier process (I would have got my 140 approval by now!) or with the new process (god knows when and who is going to get concurrent approvals!)

USCIS PPL - TELL US WHATS GOING ON!!!!!

we are all in the same boat!! i was also nearing my 140 approval (rd-sept 30th 2003) and was just waiting for it as i am desparate touse AC-21...Now everything is in the dark! dunno what to do..
hope for the best..i asked my lawyer and they also said they are waiting for a cleared picture before they can tell me anything concrete..so the waiting continues....:(
 
Hey Brigand, I know the feeling cuz I am living it right now. I am with you in the same boat. I am sure we have a lot of company in here.

I hope these recent changes are going to bring in some smiles. Thats all I can do - "hope".

Its comforting to know that a lot more ppl are out there feeling the same and Im not the only paranoid dude out here
 
It is a very odd Monday

Every morining a I140 expectant comes to the office, opens the web browser and checks his I140 status. Finds out it is not approved and then logs into the I140 forum to look for current approvals to get motivated from those. Then he goes to immigration-law.com to check for any encouraging news. Next stop, USCIS news page, then the processing times page, in anticipation that something might have changed. Is that all? Oh wait, this is a new month, the processing statistics must be out.

NOTHING! ALL ARE SO DAMN QUITE TODAY!!!

Its like a packed stadium muted to a pin drop silence.

I am also in the same boat as I was so desperate to use AC-21 and until that I am not sure how long do I need to stay away from family to just feed these money making companies and I am right on this as my company just sits there and makes money as I do take care rest of 99%. So far this is my 7th year and counting......

And also I was wondering....

how come an INS memo can override law passed by senate and signed by president (AC21) ? or atleast if they should update AC21 eligibility based upon the memo which makes a better system as per the law.

can we write it to immigration sub committee ? I hope AILA will do some thing.

I think I was really happy with old process, my ND is sep 26 2003, I was hoping to get i-140 approve and use AC21, there is a company who wanted to take me fulltime, they were aware of my status and were willing to do 6 months contract to hire with my employer, condition was that once ur i-140 is approved i would join them use AC21, great company,great benefits and three times the salary of what i get now...guess what .....


today they told me that with new rules iof GC, it is highly unlikely that u would get ur application approved in next 6 months and hence we would not be able to go ahead with the offer.....


I guess I am the first victim of stupidity these guys have been spreading all over...


I was real happy with old process...


I am really sad today....:mad: :mad: :mad:
 
So much hanging on it

There are so many reasons that hinge on the GC:

1. New job or quit old job and sit at home
2. Getting back to family....tired of travelling
3. Negotiating pay raises/promotions
4. Buying a house
5. Less intimidation of job loss
6. Can travel the world without any issues
7. Can get better dowry????

8. Start a business or change your job profile altogether (move out of IT and become Immigration Lawyer, perhaps?)
9. Buying new car and start building assets in this country
10. Start planning for your family's future (kids school, training, etc)


But the biggest benefit is the REDUCTION OF UNWANTED STRESS!!
 
Sorry to hear that manoj, my client also offered me for fulltime giving 3 months time , my ND is Oct 31st with seeing the processing speed of VSC with old procedure , I thought it would be possible but now I don’t know what is going to happen

i hate to say this but for ppl who haven't done any FP and filed concurrently i think you have to wait for FP and name check done.

ex: my case ( just got RFE on I140 on April 19 th haven't replied yet .Lawyer will reply soon) and manoj case.

i really interested in seeing the results for ppl who have their FP done and filed concurrently where I140 is not apporved ( has to be filed before Aug 08 03 since that is the officail processing date for I140) .

Is there a tracker where somebody is maintianing this stuff.

If so we can ask ppl who fall into that category to post if they hear anything on their Apps.

For rest of the cases ( different types like I140 approved but pending I485 or solo I140 ) just wait and see.

...I fall in this category. Got FP done 2 months ago. 140 pending (RD04/28/03). filed 485 concurrently(mailed simultaneously)
 
Hi brigand

I am also in the same boat. However given USCIS record so far, I am afraid to be too hopeful. I am not sure whether my 485 will come earlier with 140 or 140 would be delayed till 485.

MD - 5/13/03
ND - 6/5/03
FP - 3/11/04
'Last update date'
I-140: 4/19/04
I-485: 4/29/04 (moved almost daily from March 26th till April 29th)
 
You guys should see some action by the end of the month ( just my opinion). That considering CIS doesn't have too many apps before your ND's. ex: from Aug 02 to May 03 since concurrent filing has started in Aug /july 02.

please donot forget to post any details once you see some action on your Apps.

Right now, I have stopped speculating until I see some action!! Unfortunately, its absolutely quiet. Dont know what is going on at the VSC offices!!

Of course, u can be assured that I will post any updates on my case!!
