Am I eligible for change of status from H1B to L1A

Hi,

I need to know if I am eligible for change of status from H1B to L1A. Please find the details below.

1. Joined multinational company in India - Feb 2003. (8 months in India)
2. From the same company Came to US on H1B in Sep 2003. ( 9 months in US)
3. Went back to India June 2004. ( 5 months in India)
4. Came back to US on H1B in Nov 2004 and in US till now except for overall 5 months vacation outside US ( 5 Yrs in US )
5. I have been doing managerial work form past 1.5 Yrs.


Based on above details can you please advice If I am eligible for change of status from H1B to L1A. I need to do that as my 6 yrs on H1B are getting over in May 2010.

You have not worked for 12 months in the past 3 years in an overseas office of a US firm. It seems you are not eligible for L-1 status.

Based on above details can you please advice If I am eligible for change of status from H1B to L1A. I need to do that as my 6 yrs on H1B are getting over in May 2010.
