Am I approved?

I received this email from USCIS yesterday.

"On October 24, 2006, the document we made based on the approval or
registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom
issued."

Someone told me this emaill means nothing. I moved recently and my 2nd fingerprint notice was retuned to TXC, though I have informed them my new address. It is the reason I got this email? The LUD did change 3 times this month and I hope it IS an approval notice, not just a joke. Does someone has similar experience? What do you guys think? Thank you.
 
In my experience, it usually refers to the scenario of,
1. USCIS sent you a mail and they got the mail back (e.g Fingerprint Notice went back to USCIS)...

or it may be approval...calling USCIS would definitely endorse or rule out the latter...
 
My I-181 approval had this verbiage.

My I-181 approval (Green-Card) had this message:

Application Type: I181, CREATION OF RECORD OF LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENCE

Current Status:

On November 8, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued.
 
Thank you for the reply. Here is the tricky thing. My friend received exactly the same email before. He didn't receive anything in a couple monthes. He called the 800 number and was told he was approved but still nothing happened. I called the USCIS yesterday and the lady there think I was approved but I have to wait for the mail. What if I receive nothing?

You need to get directly online with somebody at TSC with whom you must get clarified as to whether you were approved or not and if so what happened to the mail. That's how I was able to find out that my GC plastic was making rounds (I was told 2 unsuccessful attempts and the 3rd one is on its way) and was finally able to get it.
 
Thank you, poongunranar. I know there used to be a way to call TXC but I tried it a few days ago. I can't find any real person. How did you find someone online in TXC? I have just sent an inquiry about my case on August. I think I can't make another inquiry in 3 monthes.

So many people in the forum are using the POJ trick to get to TSC persons. Search the forum. Good luck.
 
Check out your namecheck status - if TSC says that your namecheck cleared and your Priority Date is current - then there is a slim chance that - it's an approval...

If not, most likely, it's a returned mail that USCIS got back...
 
UPDATE:

I called the TXC. the lady there told me my case is not approved due to the security check is still not cleared. Really upset, TXC is just making fun of me. Anyway, thank you all here to give me advices.

what is ur received date by TSC for the I-485? thks from which country r u?
