Hihi,

As I was checking through my submitted N-400 form, the starting date on section 6 Part B pertaining to my current school information was mistyped.

I started school AUG 2005 but it was mistyped as AUG 2006.

Will this mistake post problems to my application and the process?

What are the feasible ways for me to correct this mistake? I am still waiting on for USCIS receipt as it was only submitted this late Jan around the 20th by my attorney at law. (Is it true that such minor mistakes can be corrected upon interview date, since additional documents send to USCIS subject to high incident rate of being misplaced?) Please advice.

Also, I had another name when I was really young and was changed to my current legal name since I was 5 years old after my parents had divorced 18 years ago. My previous name was submitted with my N-400. Will such issue causes problem to my application??

Thank you very much.:p

Missing information can be corrected at the interview. You must give your other used name to the interviewing officer. My guess is that they will do an IBIS check before your oath letter. Hopefully they don't order a new name check.

Thank you for your reply, just to clarify that I did write down my previous name in the N-400 along with my current legal name. I was just concerned if this case is rare and there results in delays in N-400 application process.

Please advice. Thank you
