Almost ready to send my N-400 form

Sorry I am so cryptic that you have to read it 4 times to understand. I should not use analogies.
What I am saying is ... you think there is a risk (I think it is very small), then what you need to worry about is how to minimize that risk. In your mind the risk will never go to zero.

Think from an interviewing officer's perspective...

#1) Is he/she going to consider this fact?
I think chances are very small, but not zero.

#2) If he/she is going to consider this fact, is there a time period after which they will forgive this anyway?
I think they are unlikely to look at it as time progresses. So the chances of review this aspect will be lower if you file after 6 years of GC. The chances will be even lower if you file after 20 years. Where you draw the line in terms of waiting ... 1 year, 10 years, 50 years ... is your call. You have to be comfortable, but reasonable in terms of understanding risk.

#3) If he/she is going to consider this fact, is there a time period after which they can not do anything?
After 5 years of issuing green card they will not revoke green card administratively. If they do, they have to go to a judge and file a lawsuit ... and for this you have to have done something so serious that they are unwilling to forgive you.

Where do you assess yourself?

Agreed.

Yes, the longer the wait the better.

But if they think somebody fabricated or exaggerated evidence to qualify for an extraordinary ability green card, that is serious enough that they would be unwilling to forgive. Once they have that opinion, what happens next depends on whether they think they have a good chance of winning in court. If they don't attempt revocation, it's not necessarily out of forgiveness.
