DV2005 winners AF4XXXX or higher: Please, join!

Since the cut-off for August is 39500 for Africa, there will be some interesting and tense times coming for the winners of DV2005 (specially for AF4XXXX).
Please, join this forum to share experiences...My winning number is 41XXX.
First questions I have are:
1. do you think there is chance at all to get a visa number available at that late time?
2. Do you know anybody from Africa that got his/her DV visa approved even in september?
3. I opted for Consular Processing. Do you think that's better than AOS in this case?

Hi this is intresting am from Nigria and our limit was remove to join the rest AF 39500. my prayer is that they will not reverse it come sept and AF should go current.

Yes last year i was in our local embassy and i withness pple getting through their interview by Sept. 2004. so same can still be applicable this year.

CP is more convinient for high # like you cause of FBI checking etc which i have been reading that it take alot of time, you have nothing to lost by flying down and do your CP. in Your contry.

Note that AF for some time now has been current by Aug or sept except 2004 that was diffrent . if it become current then 1st come 1st serve will be the outcome . there will be visa number available at that time.

We are expecting 6000 jump now, as for AF they have jump 2000 , and 4000 etc

How far is it to the truth ? Thus it mean AF will go current next month ?

and do we always have left over visa from some Region that will always be diverted to other Region ? the guy said KCC told him !!!!!!!

CP is, as far as I know after one year of active fora reading, much safer for you.

I am 2005AF00044xxx, and would like to ask people to share experiences about the very last days before they get the GC (medical exams etc...).

(I cross my fingers for Adesoji, so that their is no country limit next time )

i think it depends on the country you are filing in. This is moreso because consulates have different procedures. Some do medical report before the interview and others do it after the interview. You may want to specify where you will be doing the interview such that a specificc response would be given. Like someone pointed out there seem to be no speccific rules anymore. Accept my best wishes
