Ajust status as a tourist.

My mom (PR) helped me to file I-130 last year when I was in my home country. I'm 32 years old now.
Now I'm in the US and holding the B2 visa. My question is if this is ok to file the I-485 to adjust the status in the US. Since someone said the B2 visa is not the purpose to immigrant to US n no way to file I-485 to adjust the status. Is that true?

Your I-130 will not be current for the next 5 years or so. One can file an I-485 only if their I-130 priority date is current.

My question is if this is ok to file the I-485 to adjust the status in the US.
