(b) EFFECT ON APPLICATIONS- The suspension described in subsection (a) shall include the suspension of acceptance for filing of applications for the adjustments of status described in such subsection.

This is bad, does anyone have anymore information on this? Does this have congressional support to pass? What is the time frame?

On the other hand, it just makes it official for what is currently happening with AOS processing.

Bush cannot afford to agree it... as if he does....
he wont be president next year
Most of no democrat will pass in senate... and there are enough repubs to reject this

first this has to to pass in the house of representatives... and then senate
long way to go

Yea but even without passing this, it's not like INS is working on those cases anyway .. so what difference should it make either way?

THe diff woudl be, without this bill being a law, we have some hope of a possible speedup in near future, once this bill becomes a law, FUGGETIT.

Since it says "acceptance for filing", does it mean, only new applications submitted for Green Card --> Labor are rejected ?
What about all the pending 485 apps?
