AILA Liaison enquiry

Does AILA Liaison enquiry make any sense ? Shall we get exact status of our application or some thing like "Case is pending due to security checks, additional/external review etc" kind of messages....

My attorney charges $600 for this, he is not sure about the status message whether I will get exact status message why my case is pending, but some times usual messages (of course these are not useful)....

My NC completed, background checks completed (as per ombudsman), PD is current and case is pending for external review since 5 years....

any suggestions ?

Sorry for me replying again. I am also looking for soem suggestions.

I was not sure attorney's charge for Aila Enquiry. I asked my attorney last year to open an enquiry in August 2007. He said he opened it but no response till october and he sent another follow up again. But didn't hear anyhthing and in November 2007 he went (he goes some times) and met a supervisor in Nebraska about my case, where he got a response later via email about the same review. I am not sure whether he really tried for AILA enquiry that time as he didn't ask me for any money. Anyway, finally he said he is helpless and open an enquiry again once my PD becomes current.

Looks like USCIS is definitely ignoring these ---- REview cases. We should bring this topic to any of these big attorney offices so that they can try to get some info. We can try sending this issue to any tele conferences too.

Try to push your case as much as possible. This may help to trigger any time.

I will try all roots once I am current. Prepare for WOM if you don't get it by November 2008.

When I spoke my attorney, he said they can do two types of enquiries....one is he can send request to NSC since he is my G-28 attorney and the other one is AILA Liaison enquiry where he or some AILA member can send request to NSC Liaison in their format (probably they will charge some dollars since they have to spend some time).....

I don't know whether this will help me or my case....but wanted to know "why my application has been stalled".....
