After US Citizenship.. Please Help

I have just received my US citizenship and have applied for a US passport. I have a few questions regarding the process after getting my US citizenship, particularly with Indian passport cancellation and OCI. I intend to apply for my OCI card as soon as i get my US passport.
Questions..
1. Do i need to send my Indian passport to the Indian Consulate to get it canceled, If yes can someone please tell me the procedure and what all documents i would need to send along with my Indian passport.
2. I will be applying for the OCI card soon, as soon as i get my US passport.. Do i need to send my passport of cancellation along with my OCI application or before ??

I fall with the Houston Consulate.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. And i apologize in advance if these questions have been addressed earlier..

You don't have to send your indian passports until after oci is approved.

Please check with a running post on Houston OCI to get a feel of what is expected and what the latest timeline is.

Read the guidelines on the website of the Houston cons to apply for OCI. The official website is the ebst place to get correct info.
Check the tracker thread in this forum to read personal experiences and the FAQs since the rules may appear confusing to some.
