a person can stay in USA? My mom's extension is denied.....and she already has a ticket to go back to INdia for Aug 08, which is like 23 days after the denial notice.....can she go with that ticket or we need to get her ticket again for an earlier date?

Please guide.
 
When was it applied/rejected

Could you provide details on what date you applied for ext, what was her original i-94 dates and what date it was rejected? I am also applying for my in-laws' extension and want to know for sure.
 
Details

Applied at CSC end of April. Original I-94 expiry date was Apr 30th. Recevied denial notice on Jul 19th.
 
The B1 extension for my mother ( she has a 10 year visa) beyond six months was denied on the ground that her green card application has been approved under which she has declared her intentions to immingrate to US. We received the denial notice after a week of expiry of her I 94 thatwas valid for first six months. She was also given an option to petition the denial decision with new information. We have filed the petition to appeal the decision. Is it best for her to leave immediately or her status is ok as long as we have not heard a decision on the petition? She also has her green card interview scheduled in India within a month. Is it better to mover her interview to US to avoid leaving USA and risking problems with during her green card interview due to overstay on B1 here.
