After sent expedite request.

Last week, about 7 days after I had sent the expeditery fax, I got a similar response from Vermont i.e. 'your case has met crieteria for special handling' .. and .. 'you will hear from this office very shortly'.

Hi Samadss, could you please post your detail of I-485 and did they chage LUD for you?

Thanks!

1. I had sent them a 2 page fax, essentially outlining bare facts with one attachment - FBI name check email. Essentially if you have a FBI response that your finger printing is complete, then you should just go ahead and shoot a fax to USCIS.

2. Khan - there has been no change in my case status (LUD). I am eagerly awaiting for your approval, as you are my leading indicator!

I think even this is a ploy

From what I am seeing with some of these Expedite Fax Responses...
I think this is the newest ploy on the part of USCIS.

In other words, a response saying..."yeah , we will Expedite, you will hear
soon, blah blah blah...." and then it goes back to all quiet.

Who knows , after that if you initiate a status enquiry, they will respond...

"you case is with the expedite division...please allow 60-60000 days to
get a response".

I sent a request on 12/30/2004 to VSC to expedite my case and yesterday I got the reply.

Here what they say:

" Upon receipt of your letter requesting expeditious handling, this matter was reviewed and a determation was made that it met the criteria for special handling.

The petition/application will be reviewed and you should be receiving notification from this office very shortly."

Does any one got this type of reply?

It's been a month passed and no word from USCIS.
Can I do another inquiry?
What left in this case? Are they doing IBIS check?????????

Hi nycindia,

I think you can try you never know as we all know that they process every case differently........so give it a try.

Any news for you?

Khan_bacha,
Generally, when we do expedite request, USCIS should response something in like a week or two. I am really surprised why they didn't respond. So the best thing to do is also contact the congressman or senators office and take there help too or else ask Lawyer to follow up with USCIS.

I have also done an expedite request last Friday and will let you know if I hear anything back from USCIS.

Oldest case I have seen so far

I have not come back to the forum since my approval on 12/30 last year. Your case has been the oldest I have seen so far. Here is my opionion about your initial expedite request. You need to emphasize over and over about the "age" of your case and request is based on their "mishandling". I have not read carefully through the messages but I think under these circumstances your local congressman office should be able to help you a lot. Good luck on your case.

Thanks ddk1145 and I am fulltime agree with you.

No more hope for GC approval

Today I got a letter in mail after I sent my 2nd Inquiry.

"Upon receipt of your letter...........this matter was reviewed........it doesn't meet the criteria for special handling."

"The processing of your petition/application has been delayed. All petitions......required security checks.......we have no control........."

Now as some of you already know that the reply of USCIS to my first Inquiry was totally different.

MY name check which is completed in Sept 2004, Is it different than security check?

I have no clue what they are talking about and at this point I am completely lost.

Khan _Bacha

Same here - I also received the I & II response same as your do - SAME WORDINGs.....

We have NO help at all from any sources...

GOOD LUCK MAN....

khan and lovensing,
I have faxed second expedite request recently and I came to today that VSC has denied the request. My processing date is Dec 2002 and when I called them today about it they told me that the present official processing date should not be taken for all I485 cases and my application has all the necessary checks done and the rep told me that it is still in the racks and it has to be yet assigned to an officer and she asked me to contact again after 90 to 120 days.
So now all doors are closed for me as my congressman too is asking me to wait and my lawyer is telling me that since I have contacted the congressman, he is not very interested to follow up.

I had sent a letter to expedite my case. I got a response yesterday. They did not say whether they accepted this request or denied it, but there were not visas available to adjudicate my case. Any idea what this means? My PD is Feb 2002 which is less than the one posted by USCIS (Mar 2002).

Khan,

What happened when you talked with officer via InfoPass? anything positive?

Hi ddaa2, thanks for asking, the officer told me that your file is in VSC and I can not help you, I asked him if I can request for an AP, he told me that I have to come with some emergency and then they may issue me AP at local office.
