After my stokes interview

Hi guys, how are you? I just passed my stokes interview with my wife today. We are totally stoked, pun intended. Now the Officer said that we passed, but she didn't stamp my passport. Instead, she gave us 2 sheets, which said that our application was approved but I had to submit (within 30 days) a couple of supplemental information, which are I-693 (the health checkup, which expired since first applied), a Tax Return transcript, and a Affidavit of Support (my wife and I will co-sponsor the case). After the submission of documents, we would receive fingerprinting letters in 2-3 weeks (finger prints also expired). The sheets does say that our petition for AOS was approved, and the classification of the benefit is IR-6 (which I believe is the 10 yr GC).

I guess my question is that (since I'm still a little in shock), Is it normal to be requested for supplemental documents? Anything I should look out for, if at all?

I also have to add that I just remembered this. I asked the Officer that after the finger printing, do we just have to wait? She said yes, we'd just have to wait for the decision. Does this mean it's still not approved, or just simply a matter of formality to get the card to produced? (Because the lawyer said that we passed and congratulated us, and I'm a bit confused). Thanks for any input!

Thanks!!

My wife and I have been married since 2002. The IO asked some simple questions, such as how did we meet, when, where. Our job, salary. What's on our night table, etc. The interview was very short; each of us was questioned no more than 15-20 minutes. She said you guys passed/I approve your case. But had to resubmit some data: the new physical, the new support of affidavit, and tax transcript.

My only question now is that if she said it's approved (which stated on the letter she gave us, stating that our application was approved, pending these documents which are to be submitted in 30 days), why did she say that we had to wait for decision after the biometrics? (wrong word choice)?

congratulation you are approved the same thing i have to do after my stoke interview,i had to ammend my tax return with me and my husband together.and take it back to the i.o.and do over back my expired fingerprint.after that i waited like about two weeks and then i get my welcome letter, and then one more week i get my ten years green card so hopefully you get ten years too.congratulation
