I became a J1 visa holder by June 2002. I traveled to the US in July 2002 and stayed in the US for exactly one year for the duration of my internship. Up to the present i have completed more than 60% percent of the two year rule requeriment. My question is as folows:
When I finish fullfilling the second year of the rule, do I need any sort of evidence that I have done so if applying for a permanent resident status?

clarifications are aprecciated,

yes. You will need to prove that you spent time in your country: lease agreements, school enrollment papers, proof of employment and stamps in your passport (in and out of country).
