after FP how much wait!!!! for EB3 PD 07/97 Help!!!

I just would like to know general how much it takes to get the final approval after the finger Print done. Also My wife is a primary applicant and I have not got FP so far, is there any problem or not, my wife got FP notice in March01.

I appreciate any help in this matter, I know this waiting period is tough.

Please provide some more details like Service Center, RD/ND, Country so others can help. Besides PD, they also give an indicator of things to come.

Your PD is definitely current, what would have helped to know was the date of you Notice Date or the Receipt Date for the I-485. Right now "officially" VSC is working on Oct/Nov 99 RD/ND cases. If your case is around that time, an FP notice would mean a good news - that you Approval Date is around the corner. Otherwise, VSC has been sending FP notices to the people (they have like a double queue for FP), in that case you have to wait some more time.

So you see your ND/RD holds the key as to when your prayers are going to be answered.

I think we got 140 approval in Oct- Nov and then we have applied I-485 in Jan 2000, because at that time the date was current, and we must have recieved the Reciept Date after that and we got EAD in April 2000, but we did not used EAD, does it matter? also I did not know that I have to apply a new one before 90 days , I called my lawyer he said wait for some time and I will apply it.
But still I am maintaing my legal status. Could you please tell me do you for see any problem after FP, also I have not got my FP where as my wife got it is IT ok or not?
I appreciate your help.

is that true that vsc is working on nov cases?? i thought oct 15th cases. where do u get official info?? when is it updated

Nick you are doing fine so don\'t worry that much about I-485.

No it does not matter at all. I am assuming that you are on H1 and you got the EAD as a safe option. You don\'t have to use EAD if you have it and IMHO you are still maintaining your H1 Status.

Since your EAD (and Advanced Parole) are valid for one year only, you would have to reapply for them (or renew them for the next year). It is better to apply for EAD atleast 90 days in advance simply because you can use the reciept for that application and get an EAD issued from the local INS office if you don\'t get the EAD from the VSC. But I know of some cases who walked to the local INS office and were even able to get the Interim EAD.

There is no problem with your EAD. Even a frined of mine (who is the primary applicant) had the same issue as yours. His wife got the FP notice while he got it 20 days late. They both went for fingerprinting date for the wife and INS took their FPs and processed them together. So it definitely is OK and you should be expecting FP notice from INS very soon.
