hi to all,

i want to know how long to become a US citizen after CP? i dont know if im correct, it will take 10 years to become a US citizen when you did CP. is this a disadvantage for CP?

the expiration date in the GC of my wife is 2016, does it mean she need to process citizenship on 2016?

You can become a US citizen after 5 years through either CP or AOS. If she received her greencard based on marriage to a US citizen, then she can become a US citizen after 3 years.

The date of 2016 refers only to the expiration of her card (which she will have to renew if she doesn't become a citizen beforehand).
