Those who have got their citizenship..do you keep all your paperwork related to your visa,h1,greencard,citizenship stored away in the attic or just throw them in the garbage pickup and tell your children and grandchildren how you came to America the land of opportunities with X amount of money, etc.

There's no need to keep paperwork associated with your h1, visa, greencard once you become a citizen. Original documents such as naturalization certificate and birth certificate are what you want to store and safeguard.

There are two options; you either get warm with your paperwork by putting them all in your fireplace and cutting your energy cost by God knows how much or better yet save it for generations to come. So thay can see their first-generation Americans and relatives, many details about you, how you came here, etc, a priceless gift when you are long gone. These are the sort of things that today's generation seek of their ancestors that some can only find bits and pieces of to help build/rebuild their family tree. I will fall short of putting them in one of those vacuum safekeep bags you see on infomercials that keep things away flat and neat.

You can mail to me, I am starting a storage for people like you. My attic just got remodeled with the addition of a fire-proof safe (8X5) to hold important documents, $45 a year and accessible to you 24/7 by web cam.
