Yes, you need to celebrate !!!!!!!

At some point you will need to change your social security card to remove the restrictions on it. You can just take your GC to the nearest SSI office and notify them of the change.

And make sure that you work with the present employer for a "reasonable" amount of time (if yours is an employment based GC). The definition of "reasonable" has been beaten to death on these forums here, and you may find it to be an interesting reading.
