I finally became USC on 7/9/09. after 10 years under asylee/GC.
I did my interview and after that the officer ask me if I want to do the oath today and I said yes. So no big ceremony for me, just me and the officer.
Now I have some question:
In 2005, when I was LPR, I petition my wife (she was F1 and now she is H1B)
Feb 2009 we received I797C notice saying that my I130 was approved.
July 9, I became USC and I need to upgrade her status.
I called USCIS and she told me to fax a request letter, copy of approval to 603-334-0791, I've been trying to fax my request to that fax for over 4 days and the fax never went through.
I called again this time to NVC but they said the case is not belong to them since my wife is already in US.
I made another to USCIS and this time the lady told me that I have to submit AOS Package (I485 etc)
Now I'm confused I did some research and some people did only call (verbally) and some have to fax the request, and some submit I485.
And i checked the I485 fee is over $1000.
I do not want to do a wrong step.
Any body have an experience on the matter please advise.
