after approval how long for stamping?

Hi Guys

Can some one tell me after approval, when can I go for stamping. Is their any fix date or days i have to go. My problem is my wife is in India for the immergency & she will come back in March, Can I wait till that time for stamping or its not a good idea?

My approval will be coming in around Jan. Please advice......

There is no specific time frame. They will probably give you a particular day of the week to get your stamping. You can go anytime. But the earlier you go, the better it is. Also, maybe you would want to go and get your stamping done before your wife, just to keep the process rolling. Your wife's process is a derivative process based on yours.

Also, I'm not trying to dis-hearten you, but don't assume on your approval coming in Jan. Keep an open mind on this issue. I got my approval in September as expected, but a close friend of mine who filed a week before me has still not got his. So keep it loose......

Thanks for the advice.


I think then as soon as it comes I will go for my stamping. My wife can go anytime right? there is no expiry or renew?

I am not in hurry, I will wait for another year......
